However, his latest Sunday appearance was different. Amitabh came out to wave at his admirers but was seen behind a bulletproof glass enclosure.

The change comes amid growing security concerns in Bollywood following reported threats and firing incidents linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Recent incidents involving Salman Khan and Tiger Shroff have raised concerns in Mumbai. Reports say Abhishek Bachchan wanted his father to attend the weekly fan meet with extra security.
